Nigel Goss works as a bassist and music teacher. His first professional gig playing in a rock band at The Muse when he was 17 years old. He went on to study double bass and bass guitar in the jazz tradition at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, WA, where he lived for six years, before moving back to Nantucket in 2010. He now performs regularly with many of the islands most in demand musicians, works as a band director for both NMC and St. Paul’s Church, and teaches private music lessons. He believes that the learning process is never finished, and so he currently studies privately with top jazz musicians in New York City, and some of the best classical players in the Boston area.
