Barbara Elder is a conductor, pianist, composer and former Director of NMC. She received her Bachelors of Music from the University of Rhode Island and her Masters of Education from Cambridge College. She continues to take courses and workshops through the Berklee College of Music, the American Choral Directors Association and Music Educators National Conference (MENC). She has a profound love of choral music and has been a music educator for 31 years in Massachusetts. Taking many choruses on performance tours, domestic and abroad, she enjoys being part of the cultural connections made through music. She composes choral music, piano and organ pieces and musicals for children.
